At 7:30 on Monday morning we found out what “living above the market” means. Actually it’s not so bad. Remember that we had almost gotten an apartment where the church bell would have knocked us out of bed at 7:30 a.m., so hearing some activity on the street below is not a big deal!
In Colorado, the “Farmers Market” was all about local produce and local “artisan” items. Here, there is plenty of produce.
But the market here is much more than that. It’s like a traveling mall! There are large clothing booths, shoe stalls, home goods, curtains, wine, even a hardware store!
There is even the equivalent of a Dollar Store.
I personally love the big rotisserie truck where you can get chickens, porchetta, even rabbit!
