The Terre Di Canossa International Classic Car Challenge comes through our mountain town every year.

This race lasts four days, traversing a 700 km route through Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany and Liguria.  A long string of vintage cars dating between 1919 and 1976 make their way through the winding roads in these regions, enjoying a bit of rivalry, food, wine and fun.  All cars built prior to 1945 vie for the “Pre-war Cup”.

Our town is in what we’ve come to dub “The Tri-State Region”.  So, we are right in the middle of this fun ride!

We live on the 5th floor in an apartment overlooking one of the main streets graced by the competitors, so we just stood out on our terrazza for awhile and watched the cars go by.  Here are a few of the cars.  Hey – I know nothing about cars!  If you can recognize any of them, let me know, and I’ll identify them here.
