Today was a really good “virtual” day.  I spent the day with a bunch of English speakers on Zoom – we had 22 people at one time (maybe more total, but never more than 22 on the call simultaneously).  It’s a group of English speakers living in Italy.  We have a private Facebook group, and we’ve banded together to try to help each other though the doldrums of “Lockdown”.  In case, we’re calling our Zoom meetings the “Life In Lockdown” meetings.  Most of us have never met in person (and yet some of us live very close together, and were bemoaning the fact that NOW we’re unable to “cross boundaries” or our towns (Comune) and see each other!  So, we got to see each other via webcam, chat, hear all of our different accents – Canada, Texas, Alabama, Scotland, Yorkshire, London, New Jersey, Australia, California/Oregon/Washington (realistically the US Pacific Coast is pretty homogenous), and it was great! A real boost for all of us.

Then I was able to Facetime with both of my daughters and my granddaughters (son and I had a text conversation too).  It was a good day in lockdown!
